The Best Cheese Spread. Ever.
Do they award a Nobel Prize for the discovery of the cure-all for the dull, boring, bland food blahs? ‘Cause if they do, then my discovery will make me a shoo-in. We just spent a fun-filled Fourth of July weekend up at a cabin in Northern Arizona, where I planned and cooked 10 meals for a dozen people over the course of four days. I never would have predicted what was ultimately the star of the food. Was it the fresh, juicy, mouthwatering homemade burgers? Nope. The beer braised meat falling off the bone chicken and sweet onions? Negative. (Although, that one did get a bunch of ooohhhs and aahhhs!). Not even the light and crispy Belgian waffles with maple whipped cream topped with luscious, fresh, ripe strawberries came close to being the winner. Cheese spread. Yep! Not kidding.
Glas All Naturals Cheese Spread is honestly one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. I’m not even really a cheese spread type of person. Give me a big chunk of sharp cheddar, a smear of stinky Gorgonzola, or some tender slices of baby Swiss, a crusty roll, and the right wine and I am one happy camper. But a spread has never been my thing. Until now.
It started with a dab of Glas Cheddar Spread on a Club cracker. Wow! Then I went for a blob of the Bacon Cheddar on an apple. Now that was like a party in my mouth. The flavor just wouldn’t stop. And the piece de resistance…. the Jalapeño Cheddar on, well, everything! The cheesy creaminess with the jalepeno kick puts it in a league of its own. I seriously considered not even sharing it with anyone. I spread that stuff on everything I could get my hands on. Celery, bread, grapes, bagels, eggs, lunch meat. Pretty much anything was fair game.
I ultimately let everyone in on this amazing food find. Not surprisingly, it was a hit with everyone. Nobody could get enough. (Even my lactose intolerant sister kept digging in. And every time we saw her heading to the bathroom, she’d look back at us with a wink and a smile and say, “It is SO worth it!”). The crackers disappeared first, then the veggies and fruit. Finally, people decided to avoid the middle man altogether and go directly spoon to mouth. Who could blame them? This stuff is like a drug.
The next time you need something quick and easy to satisfy everyone (and I mean everyone), reach for the Glas All Naturals. Just beware – whatever else you serve will take a distant backseat.
