Music Festival season is for sure one of my favorite times of the year! Not only do we get to kick it off by attending the biggest country music festival in Arizona every year, but it signifies the beginning of all other music festivals to come! It also queues up the kickoff of summer. Needless to say, staying hydrated is critical to the enjoyment of all things summer.
If you read my Beefy Mac and Cheese post, then you know we got off to a rocky start when we went to our favorite music festival (camper coming unhitched on the freeway, among other things). But we made it there safely and got straight to work setting up our awesome campsites. When my sister and I get to working on our campsites, there’s no slowing us down! We do tend to go a little over the top… lighted shade structures, drink tables, food tables, puzzle tables, more coolers than you can count, an outdoor kitchen, woven floor coverings…. you get the point. We love it! We crank up the music and get working! This year, however, it was hot. Very hot! I think it was the hottest day in Arizona so far this year – a blistering 98 degrees. Yep, we were sweating up a storm. (Not a pretty picture.)
Staying hydrated is key. Being born and raised in Arizona has taught me just how important hydration is. (In my dad’s 40+ years as a dentist, he only missed 1/2 day of work, and that was due to dehydration. He was hospitalized due to an imbalance in his electrolytes. Lesson learned.) Sometimes it’s tough to make sure to drink enough water to ensure we’re staying hydrated throughout our busy days. Not only that, sometimes water tastes… well… blah. Especially for my sister – I’m always harping on her to drink more water!! So you can imagine how happy I was when I first heard about vitaminwater Zero! It’s water, only better. Much better! It’s water designed to make sure everyone is staying hydrated! It’s flavorful (think refreshing squeezed lemonade, tasty orange, and even açaí-blueberry pomegranate – my fave!), it has Zero calories, and it’s chock full of vitamins and electrolytes! Light. Refreshing. Electrolyte-packed. Awesome stuff! I first had it after one of my more difficult workouts and boy did it do the trick!
And I can’t think of a better way for staying hydrated during a music festival, especially while setting up our amazing campsite in the 98 degree heat! Even better – vitaminwater Zero comes in a huge multi-pack that I purchased at Sam’s Club (and they’re even offering $3.50 off during the month of April 2016. No coupon necessary! Yes!!), so we can easily fill one of our many many coolers with this stuff! People attend music festivals to hear some amazing music and to have a great time, but there’s one thing that can really get in the way of music festival happiness – dehydration. Well now, my friends, you have an easy and tasty way to avoid that problem all together… vitaminwater Zero! (Did I mention that it’s got awesome flavor and has ZERO calories?? That’s a built in excuse to indulge in something else. Anything else. Everything else! We sure did!) So now there’s really no excuse to not stay hydrated during your music festival or any other summer activity! Pick up a pack at Sam’s Club (click here to find one near you), head to your summer activity of choice (try to make sure your camper actually stays attached to your vehicle when towing…!), stay hydrated, and enjoy yourself! It’s what life’s all about!
