Pressure Cooker Chicken Wings | CRISPY with new air fryer CRISPLID

You guys!! It’s not often I get excited about a new product. Well… I’m excited!

For those of you who have pressure cookers (Instant Pot, Mealthy, and all others), this is a game-changer! We all know how it is – we make something delish in our pressure cookers, but it would be THAT much better if we could crisp it up a bit.

So we either transfer it to another dish (yes, that means another dish to clean) and put it in the oven (yes, the kitchen gets all heated up) under the broiler, OR we just live with it as is, knowing it would be lots better with some crisp to it (I’m thinking wings, potatoes au gratin, even meatloaf…)

Well, guess what? Mealthy solved this problem! Introducing the CrispLid. And it’s just like it sounds… a lid that crisps your pressure cooker food. And it works with ALL brands of 6 or 8 quart round pressure cookers.

I could go on and on (and on…) about it, but the best way to fully explain just how awesome it is is to have you watch my newest video:

PRESSURE COOKER CHICKEN WINGS | CRISPY WITH THE CRISPLID

The video really says it all! So check it out and let me know what you think! The product will not be officially released until June 24, but here’s the Mealthy website so when it is available, you can get your hands on one!

Yes you can get crispy chicken wings the quick and easy with by making pressure cooker wings or Instant Pot chicken wings using the Mealthy CrispLid. They will taste like air fryer chicken wings even though they are fast Instant Pot chicken wings. The Spicy Apron will help you turn your Instant Pot wings into wings in air fryer crispiness. This new air fryer lid turns your pressure cooker into an air fryer. Genius!

And for those of you who don’t know yet, I have a full video course on how to use your Instant Pot! It’s a self-paced full video course that you can do from the comfort of your own home! Here’s a link to check it out!

  1. It would be nice to have the instructions written out for the chicken wings with the Crisper Lid

    1. I originally did this post just to show what the CrispLid can do, but you’re definitely not the first to say I should write out the recipe! So here it is… Put 1 cup water in the bottom of your pressure cooker inner pot then put a trivet in the bottom (use the taller one). Put 10-12 wings in the crisping basket and pressure cook the wings on high for 7 minutes, then release pressure. Lift out the basket with the wings and pour out the liquid in the bottom of the pot. Replace the tall trivet and set basket with wings in it on top. Generously salt and pepper the wings. Place the CrispLid on top (you do not need the pressure cooking lid for this part) and set it to 450 degrees for 4 minutes. Then turn the wings over and do another 4 minutes. It’s SUPER easy and tasty! I hope that helps! (Feel free to coat with any BBQ sauce you may want.)
